Finance Executive & Fractional CFO
Christopher Moore is a finance executive and fractional CFO who has seen, from the inside, both how companies scale and how they fail. Over more than twenty years of financial leadership, including more than fifteen years building and leading finance functions at early-stage and growth-stage technology companies, he has advised the leadership teams of public and private companies on corporate finance, risk management, financial planning and analysis, data analytics, and process improvement. A seasoned startup veteran, Chris has three times been the first finance leader recruited to build the finance function of early-stage technology companies from the ground up, establishing the operating metrics, board reporting, and accounting systems on which investors and directors depend. His experience also includes service as CFO of a publicly traded technology holding company. More recently, Chris has guided distressed companies through restructurings and refinancings, working alongside bankers and outside advisors to evaluate asset sale and wind-down alternatives. That experience has given him an unusually granular understanding of the decisions that determine whether a company survives a difficult period: how runway becomes overstated, how vendor obligations quietly accumulate, and how board conversations shift from strategy to survival too late. He now brings both a builder's and a restructuring advisor's perspective to his fractional practice. Partnering with the founders and leadership teams of early-stage companies, whether they are scaling with healthy cash flow or navigating a more uncertain stretch, he helps build the financial discipline that transforms early momentum into a durable enterprise. Chris is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Society New York. He earned his undergraduate business degree from the University of Miami and his Master of Business Administration from the Yale School of Management.
